Lamb on Ciabatta
We first discovered this sandwich at the opening of the Perimeter Mall location. And, it’s been on our favorites list ever since. I don’t know why we ignored the prepared foods section of the Highland’s location. What a mistake.
The ciabatta is perfect for a to-go sandwich. The [...]
Dancing Goats Blend
This has been our breakfast coffee of choice for almost 2 years. With roasting dates prominently displayed, it’s easy to find a bag that has been roasted the same day. (Or, on a bad day… within a day or two)

S’more Tart
The giant torched coconut marshmallow is the highlight of this tart for me. I’d love it even more if it was torched to order. Rich chocolate is tasty, but, the excessively buttery (greasy) tart crust is too much. This tart is crazy rich. It needs a significantly more delicate crust.
Stocking the Pantry:
Toscano & Sons has a wide assortment of goods. Parmigiano Reggiano butter, a great selection of Italian deli meats & cheeses, coffees, Italian vegetable seeds for planting, chilled Italian sodas for sale individually, chinotto & san bitter by the pack, and too many pantry items to name… [...]
Manhattan Special & the Italian Moka Drink
East 48th Street Market has a bounty of specialty Italian products. Italian cheeses, Italian wines & a small by-the-glass dispenser for a handful of bottles, deli meats & sausage, Sclafani Tomatoes (the best tomatoes canned in America), a variety of dried pasta including fregula, farro, [...]
Silly Cow Farms Natural Hot Chocolate Mix
I’m a sucker for clever packaging.
Three simple ingredients fill this glass milk jug: Cocoa, sugar and vanilla powder.
All you need to do is add heated milk.

Single French Press Pot
This might not be the best cup of coffee in town. But, it’s strong & better than diner coffee.
Potato Cake Benedict with a side of more potatoes
Some might find this to be excessive potato usage. But, I enjoy simple food for breakfast (especially after [...]
The Setting: One of the glass-fronted shops that surround Marietta’s square, this charming cafe has a handful of tables and a glass fronted pastry counter. Blackboards on the wall list the array of meat pies and lunch specials. And, bookshelves bordering the side walls house a small assortment of imported Australian specialties.
