Incredible depth of flavor, it tastes of sweet nectar, reminding me why wine is referred to as the nectar of the Gods. Sourwood honey, apricot, fresh calmyrna figs, a hint of floral orange blossom, orange zest, a bit of tart pineapple, [...] The Setting: Parish Foods & Goods is housed in a charming two story building jam-packed with character. From the exposed terra cotta bricks to the antique mirror that towers over the bar to worn leather chairs in the entry that scream “sit on me”, Parish welcomes you even before the staff. Warm terra cotta brick and remnants of faded green plaster [...] The Setting: A small specialty food shop set in a strip mall. Rows in the center of the shop are filled with cookies, crackers, jellies & jams, honey, baking goods, and grains. There’s a small deli counter in the back. A small section with refrigerators, candy bins and a selection of foreign movies round the [...] The Setting: A new brick building with a clean, bright interior. Robin’s egg blue walls and silver chairs add to the light and airy feel of the place. The Staff: Friendly The Food: This might just be my favorite burger in Atlanta. You custom build your own burger. Choose beef, turkey, veggie, or chicken. The Setting: Palomilla’sGrill House is a cozy little restaurant set inside a fairly generic strip mall. The Staff: Friendly and attentive The Food: Palomilla’s dishes up simple Cuban food. And, it is everything that it should be. All of the favorites are represented on their menu.
